Overview
BMW's entry into the LAMS market, built in partnership with TVS in India. Its standout engineering feature is the reverse-cylinder engine—the intake is at the front and the exhaust exits the rear, allowing the engine to be tilted backwards for a better center of gravity and a longer swingarm. It handles very well but lacks the punch of its 400cc competitors.

Cold start stalling and erratic idle
Especially on earlier models, the bike can be prone to stalling when cold and may hunt for an idle speed. Usually a mapping issue or a dirty idle control valve.
Fix: Ensure the latest ECU software update is applied by a BMW dealer. Keep the battery fully charged.

The stators on the TVS-built engines can burn out prematurely, leading to a drained battery and the bike dying while running.
