The learner registers list the Aprilia Tuono 660 (2021-current) under XHE00, among other codes. Searching the register by the bike's name can make it look unapproved when it is.
⚠ A full-power Tuono 660 was also sold here and can look the same (659cc parallel twin (full power)). It is not LAMS approved. Use the checks below at the bike.
How to tell at the bike
- NSW's original approval is filed under code KV, description "RS 660 LAMS & Tuono 660 LAMS", 2020-on, 659cc — one code covering both models' LAMS versions.
- From 2025 NSW also lists code XHE00 ("Tuono 660 Factory LAMS") under the family code XH, 659cc, alongside the original KV entry.
- Victoria lists it as "Tuono 660 35kW KV variant", 659cc.
- Queensland's learner table (last updated 7 September 2026) lists "RS660 KV" but not the Tuono by name. Riders in QLD should confirm with TMR before buying.
